Smoothie Recipes From The Kitchen

On Saturday, August 18, The Kitchen Remix launched its first “pop-up” smoothie bar.  Stephanie and I spent a few days during the week preparing for our event.  Investing in a table, coolers, and new Vitamix canisters were just some of the purchases for our stand.  Carts were filled with pounds and pounds of organic produce.  My kitchen turned into a full operation smoothie shop.  After a 5am run together Saturday morning to get motivated and energized for our debut, Stephanie and I got to work.  With the help of a few neighbor friends, we chopped fruits and veggies and blended 60 fresh smoothies in an hour and set up shop in front of The Dailey Method in Naperville.  In less than 90 minutes, all of our drinks sold.  Because a few of our friends from The Dailey Method 11am class really wanted a smoothie, we ran back to my kitchen and blended a few more of our two most popular: Detox Power and Paradise Surprise.

Our goal was to introduce our friends and neighbors to delicious drinks that provide energy and raw nutrition.  We told our customers how they could make their own smoothies at home to gain the amazing health benefits of increased stamina, better digestion and elimination, weight loss or maintenance, and overall wellness.

Each of the following four recipes from our event makes a 64 oz. blender full of pure goodness.  Drink your choice throughout the day or share it with a friend.  All of the produce and products we use are 100% certified organic.  Even our cups, lids, and straws are biodegradable and made from plants (ECO from Boulder, CO).  We hope you will start each day with the green smoothie habit!

Wishing you great health and happiness,

    Mary Ellen:
How much would you charge to come to our office in Oakbrook with your smoothie stand?
    Thanks,

Thanks for the recipes!! I’m a TDMer from Wheaton/Naperville that just moved and joined the ranks in St. Charles. I am looking forward to your event there. I Vitamix daily and needed some new ideas — love the Detox smoothie recipe. I always forget about cayenne pepper and it’s so good for digestion. I often use dandelion greens for liver cleansing. They aren’t my favorite taste but blended in with other flavors it’s fine.
